Sunday, I’ll be watching the Oscars drinking this delicious Champagne Tea cocktail. I hate to say it… but I haven’t seen to many of the movies this year. I’ve been way too busy with life and just haven’t had the time to go to the movies as much as I would have liked.  It’s been a year of hard work and concentration on achieving my goals. But I will be indulging myself with these refreshing herbal tea Champagne Cocktails as I watch the Oscars!

Are you watching the Oscars? And what’s your pick for Best Pictures?

Ingredients

  1. 1 1/2 teaspoon loose tea
  2. 1 cup water
  3. 1 teaspoon honey (agave syrup or 1 sugar cube)
  4. 12 oz. champagne or sparkling wine

Directions

  1. Spoon tea into the bottom of a teapot and fill it with hot water. Let steep for 5 minutes.
  2. Strain and add honey, agave syrup or sugar cube.
  3. Set tea aside and let it cool. Don’t add ice, it will dilute the flavor.
  4. Once tea is cooled, pour tea in champagne glass (filling it half way) and top with champagne or sparkling wine. Garnish with herbs!
