Cranberry Wine Spritzer

Ingredients

  1. 1 cup sugar (I use brown sugar)
  2. ½ cup whole berry cranberry sauce
  3. 2 teaspoons orange zest
  4. 1 cup water
  5. 1 cup dry white wine (Pinot Grigio)
  6. 3 cups seltzer water (I used berry flavor)
  7. Frozen Cranberry Skewers 6 cranberries on kabob sticks made from 2 Fresh Rosemary sticks (frozen)

Directions

  1. In a medium saucepan, heat the sugar, cranberry sauce, orange zest, and water over medium heat until it comes to a boil. Simmer for 3 minutes and then remove from the heat. Allow to sit for at least 30 minutes, then chill.
  2. Place ice into 4 glasses; pour ¼ cup cranberry syrup into each glass. Add ¼ cup white wine, if using, the juice from a wedge of lemon and ¾ cup seltzer to each glass.
  3. Garnish w/ Frozen Cranberry Skewers; 6 to 8 cranberries on a rosemary kabob: remove rosemary leaves except the tips and add cranberries to stems then freeze for 15 mins. or until frozen.
