A Skinny Margarita in a Mason Jar is the perfect cocktail to kick off the beginning of summer this Memorial Day weekend!
Fast and totally refreshing! These easy Mason Jar Margaritas are assembled over ice right in the jar – just pour, shake, and drink! Try mixing up cocktails in advance and storing them in Mason or canning jars. They can easily be tossed into a tub with ice to keep cold and there’s no fuss.
Tequila, lime and agave or honey. That’s how you make a Margarita. The level of difficulty is low and the ingredients are few, but paying close attention to the details (and the ingredients) is essential. Skip the triple-sec but add Cointreau to this super easy Margarita which will become your favorite drink.
The single most important ingredient is fresh lime juice. Use any gadget you like (this citrus juicer is one of my favorite kitchen gadgets most important don’t use that store bought lime juice.
The second most important ingredient in a Margarita is tequila. Always drink a top shelf brand tequila. It just tastes better. In Margaritas, use only blanco (aka silver or white) tequilas, which won’t get buried when mixed.
Instead of triple sec, I prefer cointreau and a light agave syrup or no agave use honey. Salt or no salt in up to you but only salt halfway around the rim and be careful not to get any in the drink.
I’m welcoming summer with open arms…
