Homemade Pizza

Here’s a simple and easy pizza to make at home! This recipe is a hearty, zesty, main dish with a crisp, golden crust. Feel free to use whatever toppings your family enjoys on your pizza recipe.

Who doesn’t love a good pizza?! It is the weekend and I am in need of a good pizza! I knew I could whip up one in a snap and have all the toppings I want! I love how easy this pizza is to make and all the flavor that goes along with it. My family loves pizza night and you can’t go wrong with this recipe. It is simple to make with only a few ingredients but both are packed with so much flavor. Pizza is my favorite guilty pleasure and I always get super excited to make them.

How Do You Make Homemade Pizza?

  • I used Trader Joe’s pre-made pizza dough.
  • Add flour to it and roll out the dough.
  • Let it rest for another 10 minutes before adding the toppings.
  • Spread pizza sauce evenly about an inch from the edge. Top with cheese and desired toppings.
  • Bake at 500 degrees for 15-20 minutes.

We love pizza night at my house because you can make your own style. I love that it’s so fun and versatile, and you can make pretty much any combination you can dream up! I’ve been making my own pizza at home for a few years now, but I’ve gotten kind of tired of the same old recipe.

THE BEST DOUGH FOR PIZZA

First, on the dough: Don’t get overwhelmed! If it’s your first time making pizza at home, just buy the dough. You can usually find pizza dough at the grocery store, or some pizza places will sell you a one-pound ball of dough for a few bucks.

ANOTHER TIP FOR A GREAT CRUST: A SUPER HOT OVEN!

When you get a really good pizza from a brick oven pizza place, the ovens are HOT—way hotter than you can realistically get from a home oven. But the rule still stands that the hotter your oven, the crispier and more delicious your crust will be.

So, crank up your oven to 500˚F or even 550˚F if your oven can handle it. If you are using a pizza stone, let the stone preheat for 20 minutes so it gets nice and hot as well.

Nothing beats a fresh-out-of-the-oven pizza, and once you see how easy it is to make for yourself, you’ll never order delivery again. Switch up the toppings and add your favorites to make it your own. Pepperoni, mushrooms, bell peppers, pineapple or whatever you like!
