Cheese Board Ideas

What ingredients do you need for a simple charcuterie board? The best thing about it is that you can use a lot of things that you already have in your fridge and pantry! Take a look at what you have:

Meats and Cold Cuts

You can use any cold cuts and meats for platter. Prosciutto, ham, salami, roast beef and even cooked bacon. Cut bigger pieces of bacon or roast beef into smaller bite size pieces, and present them on your board.

Cheeses

We love cheese, and you can truly use any cheese you currently have in your fridge. Blue cheese, Gorgonzola, Parmesan, Goat cheese, mozzarella, Gouda, Cheddar, Havarti. Whatever cheese you have will be great on your board!

Better yet, serve a few different cheeses, to provide delicious variety for your charcuterie platter. Serve goat cheese with a spreader for easy spreading, and cut other cheeses into small slices, so that they are easy to eat.

Crackers and Breads

You gotta eat your cheese with some crackers, right? Add a few different types of crackers to your board, different shapes or different sizes work really nicely together.

Don’t have crackers? Make toast, and cut them into cute small triangles and arrange those on the tray.

Vegetables

Raw and cooked vegetables are perfect for your diy charcuterie board! Grape and cherry tomatoes, crunchy cucumbers cut into rounds, pickles, small cornichons, all of these are so delicious and perfect for your board.

Fruits and Berries

Fruits and berries are also delicious on your easy charcuterie board. Raspberries, strawberries, pear and apple slices, grapes, orange segments are all delicious as a part of your board.

Nuts and Seeds

How about adding some nuts to the board? Pecans, pistachios, walnuts, almonds and peanuts are all delicious and perfect to include in your delicious creation.

Jams, Dips and Sauces

There are so many things you can include here, so let your creativity take over! Jams are great with cheese.

How To Make DIY Charcuterie Board

So many people are intimidated by making a simple meat and cheese board, but there is nothing intimidating about it. In fact, this is one of the simplest appetizers, or even light lunches or dinners that you can make.

You can make the charcuterie board as small or as big as you would like. Just increase or decrease the amount of ingredients that you use

First, decide what you want to include in your board. We recommend different items from the different items above. Some cheeses, meats, veggies, nuts and then arrange them on a platter or board. No fun board? No problem. A tray or a platter will work just as well.

Here is how to make this delicious board:

Cut cheeses into wedges.

Put olives and pickles in small bowls.
