The holidays look so different this year for all of us. So many of us cannot see our friends or family, or go out to shop for gifts for our favorite people. It’s hard to find activities that you can do with your children, significant other, or friends that are and feel safe. But fear not, I’m coming to you with a list of activities that are bound to get you and your loved ones in the Christmas Spirit.
Things to do at home:
Have a gingerbread house decorating competition.
Decorate Christmas cookies.
Create homemade Christmas cards with your children for loved ones.
Online shop for toys to donate to different charities.
Hop on a video call with Santa. (You can ask a family member to dress up as Santa, or book a time online with “Santa’s Club”)
Marathon Christmas movies.
Things to do safely outside:
Do a Christmas walk to see lights/decorations.
Head to “WonderLAnd”, Woodland Hills is turning into the North Pole. You can take your family to the drive-through to take in all the lights and wonder.
Head to South Coast Botanic Gardens GLOW, you can walk through all the gardens and take in the beautiful lights.
You can also go to the Dodgers’ Holiday Festival, at lot 10 in Dodger’s Stadium, they have set up lights, fake snow, and decor to honor the Dodgers. Like others, you’ll have to drive through but you can still feel the Christmas spirit!
This year looks different for all of us, but even though we have to be more cautious we can still make it a beautiful season for ourselves and for our loved ones. The year is almost over, let’s end it with the sweetness of the holidays. 🎄
