This weekend was so relaxing and the weather was absolutely beautiful. I opened all the doors and windows to bring fresh air into our home and chilled out with the family. It was nice not having to run from one place to another for a change. The kids and I went to the Hollywood Farmers Market to pick up some fresh organic produce then we leisurely took a site seeing trip of the Hollywood Hills. I drove through Beachwood Canyon (where they could get an up close look at the famous Hollywood sign) then showed them my first home in the hills. We continued up, up and up to the top of Lake Hollywood reservoir where the clear view of Los Angeles was perfect then drove past the Hollywood dog park by the house that Tyler was born in. It’s crazy how fast time moves and as I was looking at some of my most memorable life-stops, I realized that it seemed like an eternity since I was there. Wow, where does the time go?
After buying fresh produce at the farmers market, I felt like a healthy California snack. So, when we got home I made the family these delicious “California-style” avocado hummus wrap sandwiches. Yes, these were a stretch for the kids but they ate the entire wrap and enjoyed it. I love teaching my kids how to enjoy healthy food that’s good for them.
Have a productive week.
