Peach and Prosciutto Appetizer Skewers

I love these Peach and Prosciutto Appetizer Skewers. These tasty little bites are one of my all time favorites appetizers.

These peach skewers are easy, super-tasty and fun. You can eat them piece by piece but I recommend that you just pop the whole skewer in your mouth and pull all four ingredients of at the same time.

You’ll get a little sweet from the peaches, some savory from the prosciutto and basil and then a teeny vinegar taste from the balsamic and white vinegar pickling.

If you’re a crazy alfresco entertainer like I am, these peach skewers should be on your next party menu for sure. Make sure you make a whole bunch because these will disappear fast.

I’ve done a handful of skewers Melon Basil Prosciutto, Holiday Appetizers, Grilled Caribbean Vegetables, but these delightful bites are just perfect. Why not combine the flavors I love with one of my favorite ways to eat food, a skewer!

This recipe is a delicious spin on caprese flavors. Basically a salad on a stick turned into antipasto skewers.

In this peach appetizer, I chose peaches pickled in balsamic and white wine vinegar, fresh mozzarella cheese, crisp basil leaves, and salty prosciutto as the main characters . So you get a combination of sweet and savory flavors and a variety of textures in every bite.

how to make peach appetizer skewers

To assemble your skewers, carefully wrap peach slices with prosciutto. Then thread a prosciutto-wrapped peach slice, ball of mozzarella, and basil leaves onto skewers.

One of my favorite things about kabobs and other food on a stick is that they’re portable. And portable food is great party food. Everyone can pile their plates high and walk around without bothering much with silverware.
