Okay, I have a confession to make…I might be addicted to working out but let me tell you why…
My workouts have become my Happy Place! And now if I don’t work out then I go down the rabbit hole like in Alice in Wonderland! When I don’t get a burn in then my emotions take over and I feel like I can’t face my personal challenges. So I work out every single day, to the best of my ability! Every day isn’t always that intense but I do something every day to keep my body and mind strong!
I know it sounds crazy but working out is how I relieve stress in my life and the entire world. I’ve been going through my fair share of stress lately. So, to stay mentally tough, resilient, focused, and unstoppable I need my workouts. Which in turn have made me feel and look younger than I have in years.
Here are my general workouts:
I do my cardio first thing in the morning to get it out of the way before I get to busy. After cardio (except when hiking) I will generally leave some time to pump iron and work on my body.
CARDIO: 1 hour every day and most Sundays! 🤷🏽♀️
TREADMILL: alternate from 5 minute walk level 3.5 on 5.0 incline then 5 minute jog on level 5.0 no incline.
ELIPTICAL: level 4: 10 minutes, level 6: 10 minutes, level 8: 10 minutes, level 10: 10 minutes, level 12: 10 minutes, level 10: 10 minutes.
HIKING: I’ll go hiking 2 hours: 1 hour up the hill and 1 hour coming back down.
WEIGHT TRAINING: 1 hour three or four times a week.
I train with my trainer Dr. Alan Sherman at Sherman Sports Center two to three times a week depending on his schedule.
