Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
With this year’s celebrations being smaller, a nice way to get in the holiday spirit with your family is to have a small dinner to celebrate the holiday. From delicious foods to sugar cookies to decorate, and Christmas movies/music playing in the background, you’ll have a great time with the ones you love. Even if it is a smaller get together than in year’s past.
Dinner Tips:
- Take decorations from around the house and add them to your tablescape, for a beautiful and Christmas-y vibe!
- Use playlists like Spotify’s “Christmas Hits” and Apple Music’s “Holiday Hits” to set the mood or my personal favorite, the All I Want For Christmas Playlist by Hidden Beach Recordings.
- Prepare as much of the food as you can in advance, so you can spend the dinner really enjoying time with your loved ones.
- Ask for help – make sure to tell your family when you need help preparing the dinner. You can’t always do everything by yourself, and plus it’s more fun to cook with others!
- Set an intention to actually enjoy it. When we’re trying to do something special for our families, it can be so easy to get caught up in the work and the stress, and then the whole thing turns out to be more of a headache than anything else. Set an intention before you even start making the meal, that you will enjoy it, and enjoy the time with your family.
