Smokey Apple Cider Margarita

I’m serving up a cocktail that’s all about cozy fall vibes with a hint of spooky flair. My Smokey Apple Cider Margarita is a delicious blend of mezcal, apple cider, and just the right kick of lime and maple (or agave!) for that warming, seasonal sweetness. Perfect for Halloween gatherings, this cocktail will impress with its smoky, spicy twist and earthy flavors. So grab your shaker, a fresh cinnamon stick, and let’s get to it!

Ingredients

  • Cinnamon sugar and flaky salt or Tajin for the rim
  • 2 ounces mezcal or silver tequila
  • ½ ounce orange liqueur
  • 4 ounces apple cider
  • Juice of ½ a lime
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup or agave syrup, to taste
  • Orange or apple slices and cinnamon sticks, for garnish

Instructions

  1. If you’re feeling fancy, rim your glass with salted cinnamon sugar or Tajin. Just run a lime wedge around the rim, then dip it in your mix of cinnamon sugar and flaky salt (or Tajin for a bit of heat).
  2. In a cocktail shaker, combine the mezcal (or tequila), orange liqueur, apple cider, lime juice, and your choice of sweetener. Toss in some ice, shake until well-chilled, and strain into your prepped glass.
  3. Garnish with fresh apple or orange slices and a cinnamon stick. For the smoky effect, carefully light the cinnamon stick for a quick, dramatic finish!

Enjoy your festive Smokey Apple Cider Margarita, and have a safe and fun Halloween! 🥂
